Do you have an easy tip to live more sustainably?

One in, one out: For every piece that I add to my wardrobe, (at least) one piece has to leave, whether I donate or sell it. Using this tactic makes me really consider what I need and keeps impulse buys at a minimum. It also makes me more aware of what I already have and to appreciate those pieces more. I used to hang on to stuff I just didn‘t wear anymore. Turns out: Once it's gone, I don’t really miss it.

What does conscious consumption look like in your daily life?

I would say it’s far from perfect, I just strive to improve all the time, whether by buying produce that‘s in season, using a green energy provider or cycling whenever I can. Having written these efforts down, they feel like they‘re too little. But they’re also a reminder to always keep trying harder and doing more.

We care about adding something better. What do you add to your life to make it better?

Time for myself. It could be an hour of yoga, a half-hour manicure whilst watching a silly Netflix show or just staring out the window for 15 minutes. Spending time with myself is vital for recharging – and means that I have more energy for the people around me.
