Do you have an easy tip to live more sustainably?
To me the easiest way to start living a more sustainable life is to not try to do it perfectly from the start. Be kind to yourself. Choose one area where you think you can make changes and start small. Get used to those changes and whenever you're ready, take the next step.
What does conscious consumption look like in your daily life?
Me and my husband decided we wanted to consume less meat. The meat industry and especially meat from cows is one of the main contributors to the current climate crisis. Plus we strongly dislike the bio-industry, in which animals are abused on the daily.
So we decided to never eat meat at home again. We do still order it in restaurants, because we both love meat when it is well prepared (which in a good restaurant is often the case), plus it is less invasive into our daily lives which made it pretty easy to implement and stick to it.
We have been living like this now for about 5 years. We might some day take it a step further and cut meat out of our diets entirely.
What do you add to your life to make it better?
An appreciation of the simple things, like my morning coffee, sitting in my moms flower garden, going on long walks with my husband, the comforting purrs from my two cats, the smell of the forest, the energy on the streets of Berlin, my freshly made bed.
